Jd still makes the frame kit for a 770 but the cost is 950 plus tax and includes rear hyd which i already have I can make the subframe and buy the rear mounts if i can see how the frame mounts to the tractor. The 55 series has a built in frame on the tractorso it is much easier and cheaper. I talked to jd about odering info on just the subframebut all they have for sale is the no. 7 owners manual which i already have and it does not coverthis they said talk to a dealer for this info but unless a dealer has it in stock(the hole kit) they dont have the paper work and no one has it in stock!!!!!Any dealers out there want to help please???? ....

Ed, maybe you can shed some light on my situation. I have seen a No 7 with the subframe attached sitting on the ground, not attached to the tractor. I can where the sub frame would attach to the bottom of the loader fittings on my machine. What I can't see on the No 7 in my area is where it attaches to the back of the tractor. I can see a flexible link of some kind replaces the adjustable link of the three point. What I need is to figure out what fitting/fittins it bolts to in the back of the tractor. Does your documentation show any of that??? ....

If you have a 670,770,870,970 you need a frame added to the tractor that the frame of the backhoe will hookto it is shown in the owners manual these tractors have no frameof their own but use the engine transmission as their frame if yo add a no. 7 withoutit can crack the bellhousing. On the 55 series they hookup the way you say butthose tractors have a frame. On the back of your tractor on either side of the pto shaft a bracket will be added that hooks a cross bar of the frame on the backhoeI am going to go ahead and buy the hole kit this week.bye bye money. I have brackets to fit a 955 for sale. ....
